Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a qualified professional to support the Real Estate Valuation Services Operations and Pipeline team. You will procure valuation services, manage the vendor panel, ensure regulatory recordkeeping, and serve as the first contact for internal partners and valuation providers.

You will also assist with audits and process improvements. The role requires 4–7 years in valuation or lending services, strong MS Office skills, and knowledge of the appraisal process.

About the Role:

Under the leadership of the Real Estate Valuation Services Operations and Pipeline Manager, support the procurement of valuation services, vendor panel management, maintenance of appropriate recordkeeping for regulatory compliance, and serve as the first point of contact for internal partners and valuation providers by delivering timely support and effective communication across all stakeholders. Provides assistance and/or oversight of REVS Ops team when delegated by manager. Procure valuation services and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of requests. Perform comprehensive property due diligence through various research methods to ensure accurate scope and procurement of valuation services. Serve as the first point of contact for internal partners and valuation panel members by delivering timely support, resolving inquiries, and facilitating effective communication across stakeholders. Maintain the approved valuation vendor panel including on-boarding, vendor profile compliance, panel monitoring and vendor removal. Provide second level assistance in escalated matters analyzing concerns and directing issues to senior management as appropriate. Assist REVS Ops Manager with coordinating and execution of daily schedule and queue load balancing. Participate in developing and maintaining REVS operational desktop procedures. Provide external vendors and internal lines of business training or assistance with the REVS system of record. Assist REVS Review Manager with audit processes and procedures. Participate in developing and maintaining REVS operational desktop procedures. Assist REVS leadership in participation or coordination of department improvement projects or issues management. Demonstrate excellent time management skills and ability to triage competing priorities during times of high volume. Assist and adapt to regulatory and program changes in a positive manner. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to job responsibilities. Knowledge may be gained through coursework and/or on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual compliance and/or job-specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of the Bank’s written policies and procedures regarding the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act (FIRREA), the Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and other federal banking regulations as applicable. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia Bank corporate culture in all actions and words. About You:
  • Education High school diploma/GED (required)
  • Experience 4-7 years — of relevant experience in a valuation or lending services related position. Must have an general knowledge of the appraisal process. (Required)
  • Skills Possess solid general office/administrative skills and the ability to independently manage multiple tasks. Experienced knowledge of the appraisal process and regulations associated with it. Knowledge of banking infrastructure (preferably Columbia Bank’s) and the role of the appraisal department. Proficient with MS Office: Excel, Word, and Power Point Knowledge of valuation procurement applications a plus. Previous experience mentoring others. Advanced interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Travel Requirements: Occasional

The pay range for this role is $23 to $35. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
