Cherry Bekaert LLP in Chicago seeks a valuation professional to support engagement execution, manage document production, and apply traditional and cutting-edge valuation approaches to corporate finance analyses.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 1+ year experience, strong written and verbal communication, familiarity with US GAAP, and comfort building Excel-based financial models; you will work across engagements with a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written (including technical writing) and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and financial modeling basics.
• Ability to work on multiple engagements and priorities.

Responsabilités

• Works on business valuation engagements, including valuations for transactions, financial reporting and tax.
• Manages document production and inventory documents.
• Analyzes historical financial and operating results of target companies to explain business trends and identify risks.
• Analyzes and challenges assumptions related to future financial projections.
• Works on financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analyses.
• Assists in the development of discount rates (WACC).
• Conducts financial statement analysis (e.g., common size analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis).
• Performs market/industry research and develop industry growth estimates.
• Assists with preparation of valuation reports.
• Maintains active communication with supervisors throughout engagements.
• Other duties as assigned.
