Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a Contract Lab Technician to support validation of software, firmware, and platform features for Client product releases in Austin, TX. The role requires hands-on testing, debugging, and close collaboration with engineering teams to ensure platform readiness.

The ideal candidate will own validation activities, reproduce issues, and deliver clear findings and metrics in a fast-paced, onsite environment for a 12-month engagement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on validation of PC hardware and software components.
• Experience with QA/verification/validation across silicon, firmware, drivers, and Linux stacks.
• Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to document findings clearly and reproducibly.
• Experience building and validating PC systems (CPU, memory, storage, peripherals).

Responsibilities

• Execute test plans and validate new features for Client products.
• Perform debugging and root cause analysis; drive issue resolution with engineering teams.
• Independently own assigned validation activities and provide timely quality feedback.
• Generate test reports and validation metrics for stakeholders.
