Overview
12 months contract with possible extension
Austin, TX – Onsite Role
Responsibilities
Lead teams to test requirements for test flow development and execution.
Execute test cases to ensure correct functionality of systems including ASIC hardware (SoC or discrete), peripheral hardware, drivers, software tools, firmware, BIOS, operating systems, and applications.
Work with Lead System Engineers, Lead Technical Engineers and debug leads to resolve complex issues found in the test cycle.
Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management, Program Management, and PR to align software, firmware, CPU, motherboard, and memory schedules with launch timelines.
Design, track, and document experiments to isolate and root cause issues.
Code with C#, Python, Batch, Bash, and PowerShell.
Experience with client PC and mobile testing, diagnostic and debug.
Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization software (Hyper-V, VMware, Xen), video conferencing (Teams, Zoom), and validation/certification processes for these environments.
Exposure to register read and write using software and hardware tools in an OS or with JTAG interface.
Understand system power sequences from POST to operating system including power, BIOS, firmware, boot and HAL.
Test automation techniques and workflows.
Test methodologies as they apply to end-customer experience.
Test across configurations, definitions, and integrations.
Knowledge of industry standard computer architecture specs.
