Job summary

ZT Systems is seeking a Validation Lab Manager to lead a team of technicians supporting Validation Engineering. You will coordinate lab staffing, equipment, and processes across projects in various development stages.

This role requires hands-on leadership and a focus on reliable validation outcomes. The position emphasizes collaboration with engineering and program management to optimize lab operations, ensure calibration and safety, and align with a fast-paced technology environment.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical discipline or equivalent
• 6+ years in engineering validation and testing
• 0–2+ years of managing technical teams
• Experience with computer hardware environments preferred
• Understanding of hardware–software interactions in validation labs
• Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage lab needs, anticipate growth, and plan for the future with feedback from engineers and program managers
• Coordinate budgets, purchase equipment, and roll out materials
• Ensure lab can efficiently support validation needs
• Improve procedures by addressing issues and risks for customers
• Report lab status, capacity, and productivity to cross-functional teams
• Maintain lab equipment, calibration, and inventory of racks/servers/equipment
• Conduct quarterly audits and ensure ESd compliance
• Ensure training and safety guidelines are up to date
• Coordinate with facilities for lab security and safety
