The Validation Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and owning system‑level validation activities for Solid‑State Transformer (SST) and microgrid solutions. This role ensures that products meet functional, performance, reliability, and grid‑interaction requirements across simulation, HIL, laboratory, and early field environments.
The Validation Engineer acts as the bridge between design intent and real‑world behavior, working closely with simulation, HIL, controls, hardware, application, and standards teams to verify that system requirements are correctly implemented and robust under normal, abnormal, and fault conditions.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Power Electronics, or related field.
3+ years of experience in system validation, verification, or test engineering for power or energy systems.
Strong understanding of:
Experience working with simulation, HIL, or laboratory validation environments.
Ability to translate high‑level requirements into executable validation activities.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience validating:
Strong analytical and root‑cause problem‑solving experience.
