Job summary

Jabil Design Services is seeking a Validation Engineer Intern to assist with the setup and screening of customer server configurations. You will gain hands-on experience with server hardware, firmware, operating systems, and infrastructure management while contributing to the JDS validation process.

Intern duties include hardware installation, firmware/configuration, networking maintenance, and test execution.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a technical degree in IT/CS/CE/ECE or related field.
• Class year: rising junior/senior or recent graduates may apply.
• Strong hardware component knowledge is preferred.
• Familiarity with UEFI and BMC on Linux/Windows is expected.
• Basic networking and scripting skills (Python, Bash) are required.

The intern will gain a real‑world understanding of industry use cases, while helping to drive efficiency and effectiveness into the JDS validation process. By the end of internship, he or she will gain hands‑on experience with server hardware, firmware and operating systems, as well as infrastructure (switch/storage) management.

Intern Duties & Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Major(s): IT, Computer Engineering / CET, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar Class Year(s): Rising Junior, Rising Senior, Or Recent Graduates

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of hardware components
• Familiarity with UEFI and BMC Linux and Windows familiarity
• Basic networking skills
• Scripting – Python, Bash, etc.
