Job summary

Sunrise Systems, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking an electrical/computer engineer to develop test plans and perform functional and electrical validation for processor interface features with a strong focus on power management.

You will execute tests with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, debug issues, and contribute to platform definitions, while mentoring less experienced engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 2-4 years of related experience; or a Master’s with at least 2+ years directly related experience.
• Experience in developing and executing platform-level electrical and functional test plans.
• Platform-level electrical characterization experience with processor I/O interfaces is preferred.
• Experience debugging processor & PC platform I/O interfaces; familiarity with oscilloscopes and reading schematics.

Responsibilities

• Writes comprehensive electrical and functional test plans for processor interface validation.
• Executes electrical and functional tests using hardware and software validation tools, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Debugs electrical and functional issues for new processors.
• Contributes input to platform definitions and reviews platform designs for silicon validation.
