Job summary

Sunrise Systems in Austin, TX is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer (General) for a 12-month onsite contract. You will join the Power and Performance Customer Attainment team working on high-speed memory interface validation, debugging PC systems, and platform-level power models.

The role emphasizes hands-on design and test, collaboration with clients and OEMs, and requires a strong EE foundation with scripting and CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE required or equivalent.
• Strong fundamentals in analog/digital design and signal/power integrity.
• Experience with BIOS/os/driver interactions and x86 architecture beneficial.
• Scripting in Perl/PowerShell/Python; lab equipment and data acquisition familiarity.
• PCB technology knowledge including DDR4/5, USB-C, MIPI, I2C/SPI/UART.
• Board CAD tools experience (Cadence Concept/Allegro).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical validation test plans for high-speed memory interfaces.
• Organize and lead regular engineering meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Debug failing test plans and CPU interfaces; analyze results.
• Develop and execute I/O characterization test plans for ASICs.
• Create and maintain automation scripts for benchtop tests.
• Communicate progress and results to clients/OEMs and internal teams.
