Job summary

Actalent seeks a Validation Engineer in Macomb, MI to verify and validate automotive interior and exterior plastic components. You will develop, plan, and execute detailed test plans with internal resources and external laboratories, then present results for review and approval.

Collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and program management to integrate customer specs into DV plans and support successful program launches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive plastics Validation experience.
• Experience developing DVP&R test plans with customers.
• Strong component/vehicle system test background for automotive apps.
• Ability to source and oversee test lab execution.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint documentation.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer specs and integrate into DVP&R testing plans.
• Develop and execute test plans for plastic components with labs.
• Provide testing status, requirements and results to customers and program teams.
• Collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing, tooling and PM.
• Obtain customer approvals for DVP&R plans and ensure compliance.
• Direct internal and external test labs to meet timing/quality.
• Manage validation timing to align with program milestones.
• Prepare detailed test reports for approvals.
