Job summary

EDAG in Novi, Michigan seeks a Body System Testing Engineer to drive validation and verification of body system components and subsystems. You will develop test methods, acceptance criteria, and testing environments, coordinating prototypes, parts, fixtures, and schedules to ensure rigorous validation.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis on test failures, collaboration with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, and detailed reporting of results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/automotive/industrial engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of automotive validation/testing experience with body systems.
• Experience with validation testing of components and subsystems.
• Familiarity with FMVSS regulations 208, 207, 210, 216, 225.

Responsibilities

• Execute validation and verification testing on body system components and subsystems.
• Develop test methods, acceptance criteria, and test environments.
• Coordinate prototype vehicles, test parts, fixtures, and testing schedules.
• Perform root cause analysis on test failures and implement corrective actions.
• Document test results in detailed engineering reports.
• Maintain test property updates and milestone deliverables.
• Present test results during reviews and meetings.
