Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead validation activities for Automotive Interiors programs as the primary interface with the customer.
2. Facilitate Physical Validation activities with customers, PDTs, and test facilities: document dispositions and drive issue closure to meet program timing.
3. Obtain timely test vendor quotes for all testing activities; facilitate testing by creating purchase orders and test requests.
4. Support Inteva pursuit/quote team with cost estimates.
5. Represent Inteva at customer reviews.
6. Develop, manage, and publish DVP&R for specific programs to meet program timing.
7. Participate in benchmarking activities.
8. Work effectively in a team environment with cross-functional teams including design, tooling, CAE, quality, craftsmanship, manufacturing, finance, purchasing, and sales.
9. Develop and maintain timing plans.
10. Establish effective written and verbal communication between customers, internal groups, and suppliers.
11. Generate and implement cost-saving ideas.

Position Requirements

Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent experience in testing, validation, and/or engineering.

Required:

• At least 3 years of validation engineering/testing experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to operate lab equipment supporting Interiors validation testing.
• Experience working with suppliers and customers.
• Energetic, self-starting personality with a passion for success.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred:

• Experience with multiple vehicle interior product engineering (instrument panels, door trims, floor consoles, garnishes, etc.).
