Pebble Beach Company is seeking a Valet/Porter for The Inn at Spanish Bay. The role involves greeting guests, parking cars, assisting with luggage, and moving items to rooms while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Polished manners and interpersonal skills required.
• Able to work efficiently and thoroughly, performing physical tasks for the entire shift.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with drivers, employees and guests.
• Able to drive cars with standard and automatic transmissions.
• Valid California driver's license with 2 points or less.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist with check-in and check-out.
• Park guest and non-guest cars.
• Maintain organized system of keys and numbering of cars for valet parking.
• Ensure that company vehicles are maintained and in excellent operating condition.
• Transport guests to local destinations, including the airport.
• Assist guests with storage, loading, unloading, and safe handling of luggage and golf clubs.
• Move guest luggage to and from room.
• Direct parking and traffic at front entrance and parking lot, to ensure safety and security.
• Greet guests and open the door for them.
• Use guests’ names and recognize return guests, whenever possible.
• Answer questions and provide information on daily functions taking place at the resort.
• Inspect company vehicles for cleaning, maintenance and safety.
• Assist manager on duty in an emergency, such as directing guests to evacuation areas.
• Assist guests with rental bikes.
• Make deliveries to rooms, including packages, laundry and messages.
• Maintain order and cleanliness at the front entrance.
