Job summary

The Cypress of Charlotte is seeking a friendly Valet Parking Attendant to join our hospitality team. You will park resident vehicles, greet residents and guests, and assist with safe transportation on campus, delivering a superior service experience in a resort-style community.

Schedule includes days varying, about 20 hours per week (Tuesday evenings, alternating Saturdays and Sundays). Pay is $15/hour, and we offer an open, engaging workplace with growth opportunities and employee perks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver license.
• Must maintain a clean driving record.
• Previous valet experience preferred.
• English reading, writing, speaking and comprehension required.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Exposure to weather elements.
• Able to get in and out of cars and drive short distances.
• Must be able to walk or jog on a hilly area to park and retrieve vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform pick-up and delivery of members for campus activities.
• Open doors and greet members and guests by name on arrival.
• Assist members and guests with walkers, wheelchairs, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of Cypress vehicles.
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition.

Position Summary:

The Cypress of Charlotteis recruiting for a hospitality focused Valet Parking Attendant to join our team! Our Valet Parking Attendants are responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times in addition to parking resident vehicles, greeting residents and guests, and performing transportation duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Efficiently performs pick-up and delivery of members for all scheduled campus activities where transportation is needed in a warm and safe manner.
• When vehicles arrive will open doors and greet members and guests by name.
• Carefully help members and guest who need assistance. Retrieve/Replace walkers, wheelchairs, etc., and assist when a need is perceived.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Cypress vehicles, inside and out.
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver license and maintain a "clean" driving record.
• Must have valid driver’s license and maintain “clean” driving record.
• Previous Valet experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend written and oral instructions in English.
• Ability to fully comprehend others and communicate in a respectful, understanding, and empathetic manner demonstrating tolerance and exemplary customer service.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
• Exposure to weather elements e.g., rain, cold, heat, etc.
• Frequently must be able to get in and out of automobiles and drive short distances for resident pick-up and deliveries.
• Must be able to continuously walk or jog on a hilly plane to park and retrieve vehicles.
