Job summary

Avi Resort and Casino in Laughlin, NV is seeking a Heavy Duty Specialist to provide baggage handling, park and retrieve guest vehicles, and deliver courteous service in a busy casino environment.

The role requires at least 21, a valid driver’s license, ability to operate various vehicles, strong English communication, and the stamina to stand or walk for long periods while maintaining safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel valet/bellman experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to drive all types of vehicles including standards and golf carts.
• The primary language spoken is English; ability to read, write, understand and speak English.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide proof of clean driving record.
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
• Verify right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide baggage handling and storage service for all individual and group guests.
• Park and retrieve customers vehicles.
• Perform a walk around of the guest vehicle and note damage on ticket prior to issuing guest their ticket.
• Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary

Potential Work Environment Conditions

The work environment is characterized as a casino setting requiring multi-tasking, where standard equipment will be supplied and used as a part of the job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud requiring service to guests who may be smoking and/or drinking alcohol. The work environment is outdoors and indoors with a smoking environment in the building. Work schedule varies including weekends, holidays and special events.
