VCU Health is seeking a Valet Attendant Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the valet service, ensuring safety and efficiency in a high-energy environment.

The role provides personal vehicle parking and retrieval while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining professional appearance standards. Responsibilities include supervising staff and ensuring vehicle care and area cleanliness, with weather-related shifts and occasional weekend events.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Experience using a computer and Microsoft Office applications and e-mail/calendaring.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Post high school coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the assigned valet staff to ensure safe and efficient performance.
  • Provide personal vehicle parking and retrieval services with a focus on exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain valet areas in a patient/visitor-ready state and ensure professional appearance standards.
  • Work independently within guidelines and be able to multi-task during inclement weather or events.
  • May require weekend shifts for special events.

Job description

The Valet Attendant Supr supervises the day-to-day operations of the valet service ensuring that it runs in a safe and efficient manner.

The Valet Attendant Supr provides personal vehicle parking and retrieval services for the parking guests while offering exceptional customer service in a high energy environment. This position maintains expected personal appearance standards.

The Valet Attendant Supr performs all maintenance and cleaning tasks necessary to maintain the parking areas in patient/visitor-ready state.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
  • Possess/maintain a valid, non-restricted driver's license with a neutral or positive driver point balance.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License and acceptable driver's record with positive points
Experience REQUIRED:
  • Must be able to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Previous experience using a computer and using Microsoft Office application and e-mail/calendaring
Experience PREFERRED:
  • Previous professional driving experience
  • Prior valet experience
Education/training REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Education/training PREFERRED:
  • Post High School coursework
  • Second language
Independent action(s) required:
  • Must be able to work independently within established guidelines.
  • Must be able to multi task and follow directions.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable):
  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of the assigned valet staff, ensuring the valet operation assigned runs in a safe and efficient manner.
Additional position requirements:
  • Required to work during inclement weather with day and evening rotations.
  • May be required to work some weekends for special events.

Compensation Range:
  • $17.00 - $24.12
