Hotel Vin in Grapevine is seeking a courteous valet to welcome guests, park cars, assist with luggage, and ensure a smooth arrival experience. You will direct traffic at the entrance and provide safe, speedy returns while maintaining a professional appearance.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, ability to drive various vehicles, strong English communication, and a commitment to guest service. You must pass an annual MVR check and work outdoors in varying weather.

Hotel Vin, Marriott Autograph Collection is a 120-room boutique hotel with over 15,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor event space located in the heart of downtown Grapevine. As part of the Grapevine Main project, which includes Harvest Hall—a beautiful European-style food hall with seven kitchens, two bars, and a stunning venue for live entertainment—Hotel Vin will set the standards for service excellence and career advancement.

POSITION SUMMARY

Greeting and receiving customers with the highest quality customer service. Responsibilities include parking guest cars and assisting with luggage and belongings. After parking the vehicle, the valet attendant will runback to their station and be prepared to assist the next patron.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directs traffic of vehicles at hotel or restaurant entrance. Secures taxis/transportation for guests/visitors.
• Assists guests with luggage.
• Parks guest vehicles and secures vehicle. Safely and securely parks the customer car, and provides the fastest possible return time.
• Responsible for recording the guest’s information on the valet ticket and the location/parking spot the car was parked. Must use the correct color of ticket and properly advise the guest of any associated charge.
• Returns rental vehicles for guests.
• Completes errands/deliveries for guests.
• Answers questions about the hotel or restaurant and surrounding areas.
• Transports guests to various areas in the Company vehicle within a 5 mile radius of the hotel.
• Provides gracious and professional service in an efficient manner. Perform all job duties toward the goal of maximizing guest service.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within guest view.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uniform standards.
• Responds graciously to guest service issues and reports the situation to management.
• Remembers that safety is always first. Runs fast but drives slow. Must pass annual MVR screen.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager. Furthermore, tasks and responsibilities may be added or revised based on the volume of business and the need for the work to be completed at the present time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR)
• Able to drive all types of vehicles.
• Thorough knowledge of local areas and roads.
• Experience driving vehicles.
• Strong understanding of the English language.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds.
• Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 250 pounds.
• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4-hours in length.
• Entering and exiting customers vehicles up to 50 or more times daily
• Willing to work outside in all types of weather. Shifts will not be cancelled due to inclement weather and all associates will be required to attend their scheduled shifts.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous valet, and/or customer service experience preferred.

REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

• Comfortable, closed toe, non-skid shoes.
