Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in Mechanical Circulatory Support required.
• 3-4 years of progressively more job responsible experience in a tertiary facility required.
• Heart failure and ventricular assist device experience preferred.
• Experience in conducting clinical research trials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, evaluates and directs activities related to managing all durable VADs.
• Implements and assures adherence to current clinical standards for VAD supported patients.
• Coordinates outpatient clinic evaluations of patients supported with a ventricular assist device including data collection and driveline evaluations.
• Documents and maintains records/charts and reports patient's condition to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborates with industry representatives to interface with industry personnel on behalf of the institution and physicians.
• Maintains professional growth and development through attendance at seminars and workshops.
