Atakapa Services, LLC (A Waggoner Company) is hiring a Vac Truck Operator for Birmingham, AL area operations. The role involves operating and maintaining vacuum trucks to safely remove materials and support sanitary sewer/storm drain rehabilitation projects.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, safety compliance, documentation, and coordination with teams and clients. Eligible candidates hold a valid CDL (A or B) with endorsements and previous vacuum truck experience.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A or B) with appropriate endorsements.
• Experience operating vacuum trucks or similar equipment.
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum trucks safely to collect, transport, and dispose of industrial waste, liquids, sludge, and other materials.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and pre-trip/post-trip inspections to ensure proper functioning.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate tasks with team members, supervisors, and clients and report equipment or site issues promptly.
• Act as part of the emergency response team for spills or disasters (e.g., hurricanes) as needed.
