Job summary

Turner Industries' Turner Specialty Services in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an experienced Vacuum Truck Operator to transport and operate Vacuum Trucks, loading and unloading as required, and follow client and company procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, CDL vacuum license, knowledge of DOT regulations, TWIC card, ability to read routes and tickets, and safety training; post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of DOT Regulations.
• TWIC card required.
• Ability to interpret travel paths, tickets, operating instructions and procedures.
• Ability to drive Manual Transmission Equipment.
• Relevant CDL Vacuum experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• CDL License.
• Technical training and/or industrial safety experience.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and DOT requirements for assigned work.
• Maintain CDL driver qualifications and updated license.
• Safe loading and unloading of vacuum trucks; ensure load/product is secure.
• Direct Vacuum Technicians under supervisor and oversee basic safety execution.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment maintenance.
