Job summary

Pfeiffer Vacuum is seeking a Service Technician for our Austin, Texas service center. The role involves cleaning, installing, servicing, repairing and refurbishing complex vacuum equipment and systems at the service center and customer sites as needed.

The position offers a daytime schedule (7am-3pm) with compensation ranging from $24 to $27 per hour based on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include using a variety of hand and power tools, testing equipment, and documenting

Qualifications

• AA degree and/or 1 year of related experience in service/repair of electronic or mechanical equipment.
• General mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
• Follow repair instructions and testing techniques.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and be self-motivated.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Windows; data entry experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Basic mathematical skills for using scales and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Quality and Safety procedures.
• Use a wide range of hand and power tools and measuring devices.
• Complete daily timesheets, service documentation and HR compliance updates.
• Perform tasks in clean room: read failure codes and determine failure modes, disassemble equipment, verify customer complaints, decontaminate equipment.
• Assist with equipment maintenance as needed.
