Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically requires associate's degree or equivalent with five or more years of experience.
• Ability to perform machine set-up and process start.
• Ability to work on systems with unusual conditions in vacuum coating processing.
• Knowledge of computer operations and applications relevant to the field.
• Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent communication to write and record precise information.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate specialized analytical equipment (e.g., spectrophotometers).
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor film roll to roll processing operations, ensuring a dry solid product.
• Train to become a solo operator under limited supervision for coating processes.
• Monitor computer programs during material runs and maintain equipment.
• Perform routine clean-up and maintenance after each production run.
• Follow security protocols when handling classified material shipments.
• Use PPE while handling coating chemicals and powders.
• Assist in fabrication, modification, assembly, installation, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Schedule and execute weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly maintenance tasks.
