Job summary

Spear D Construction in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a reliable Vac Truck Operator to support wastewater, utility, and infrastructure services with a Vactor truck.

You will perform hydro-excavation, vacuum services, and routine inspections while maintaining safety and accurate documentation.

This role requires a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, physical stamina, and the ability to work nights or weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• Operate heavy equipment including Vactor trucks and related gear.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Maintain documentation and reports of work performed.
• Communicate effectively with crews, supervisors, and project managers.
• Respond to after-hours and emergency service calls.

Responsibilities

• Operate Vactor (vacuum) trucks and related heavy equipment.
• Clean storm lines, manholes, septic tanks, lift stations, and catch basins.
• Perform hydro-excavation, jetting, and debris removal.
• Operate high-pressure jetting hoses and vacuum boom systems.
• Conduct pre-and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality.
• Respond to emergency service calls including nights and weekends.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports.
• Communicate with crews, supervisors, and project managers.
• Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.
