Spear D Construction in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a reliable Vac Truck Operator to support wastewater, utility, and infrastructure services with a Vactor truck.

You will perform hydro-excavation, vacuum services, and routine inspections while maintaining safety and accurate documentation.

This role requires a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, physical stamina, and the ability to work nights or weekends when needed.

Qualifications

Job Description

Spear D Construction is seeking a reliable and safety-driven Vac Truck Operator (Vactor Operator) to join our team. This role is essential in supporting wastewater, utility, and infrastructure services through the operation of specialized vacuum and hydro-excavation equipment.

The Vac Truck Operator is responsible for operating a Vactor truck and performing work related to wastewater and water system maintenance, rehabilitation, and installation. This includes cleaning storm lines, manholes, septic tanks, lift stations, and catch basins, as well as performing hydro-excavation and vacuum services.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement required
• Experience operating vacuum or Vactor trucks preferred
• Knowledge of construction, utilities, or wastewater systems
• Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting 50-100 lbs)
• Comfortable working in extreme weather and high-noise environments
• Ability to work around wastewater, chemicals, and confined spaces
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, tablets/iPads)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to respond to after-hours and emergency calls

$20.00 - $27.00 (Hourly)
