Job summary

MSD is seeking a summer intern for its Research Lab in Infectious Diseases and Vaccines. The program spans up to 12 weeks, offering projects in medical affairs strategy, literature review, and development of educational materials.

You will work with biomedical science professionals, participate in meetings with leaders, and contribute to cross-functional vaccine program efforts while developing a defined project under supervision.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the sciences or a related field.
• Candidates must be returning to school in Fall 2027.
• Must be available to work full-time for 12 weeks May 2027–Aug 2027.
• Experience searching and interpreting peer-reviewed literature for research projects.
• Excellent written communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature search and review to support pneumococcal vaccine programs.
• Develop and review medical education materials for internal and external use.
• Participate in key scientific input meetings with subject area leaders.
• Assist in congress planning and cross-functional team meetings.
• Undertake a self-contained project under guidance of the medical affairs team.
