Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Intern to join our Vaccine Production department at the St. Joseph, MO facility.

Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
• Enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of internship/co-op.
• Overall cumulative GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale preferred.
• Major or minor in related internship/co-op field.
• Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college/university.
• Graduate/advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college/university.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed process mapping of antigen production workflows to document current-state operations and material/process flow.
• Perform time and motion studies to evaluate process performance, labor utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Collect, organize, and analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, rate-limiting steps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, technical operations, and production personnel to validate observations and improvement opportunities.
• Develop scalable methodologies and analytical tools for staffing levels, operational efficiencies, and capacity utilization.
• Operate in a compliant manner with documentation guidelines and current SOPs; complete all BI and site trainings.
