Job summary

Merck in West Point, PA is seeking a Specialist, Engineering to provide end-to-end technical support for vaccine production within the ROTA E2E Strategic Projects Technical Operations team.

You will lead improvement projects, address CAPAs, and collaborate with operators, quality, planning, and vendors to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency across manufacturing and packaging areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• Minimum of two years of post-bachelor’s GMP experience in Operations/Technical Operations/Engineering.
• Experience supporting change control activities and/or project execution.

Responsibilities

• Support, execute, and lead continuous improvement projects to increase compliance and efficiency.
• Lead CAPAs, Right-First-Time improvements, and value-capture projects.
• Manage project timelines to meet regulatory and customer deadlines.
• Collaborate with Operators, Mechanics, Quality, Planning, teams and external vendors.
• Examine complex issues from multiple perspectives to identify root causes.
• Provide advanced technical support to manufacturing operations for complex issues.
• Design, conduct, review, and approve experimental protocols in lab or production settings.
• Author, update, and review technical and manufacturing documentation for studies and change control.
• Support regulatory inspection activities.
• Provide on-the-floor support for complex operational issues.
• Support safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance objectives.
