Job summary

Fox World Travel is hiring a Vacation Travel Advisor to assist leisure travelers by planning, quoting, and reserving trips worldwide. You will advise clients on destinations, travel dates, and costs, while maintaining high service standards and leveraging supplier relationships.

You’ll build strong client relations, respond to requests quickly, and stay current with industry changes and technology. On-site in Fond du Lac, WI, you’ll contribute to a supportive team and growing travel business.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ leisure travel booking experience at a travel agency with sales success
• Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field or accredited travel school certification preferred
• Strong sales skills and commercial awareness
• Ability to communicate, negotiate and interact effectively
• Interest and enthusiasm for travel industry
• Knowledge of industry codes, visas, passports and travel requirements
• Ability to maintain positive client and co-worker relationships
• Team environment capability
• Self-motivation and initiative
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in changing work environment
• Geography knowledge and travel industry insight
• Excellent customer service and selling of travel products

Responsibilities

• Plan and sell transportation, accommodations, travel insurance and related services for leisure travelers
• Respond to client travel requests for reservations (air, hotel, car) promptly and courteously
• Consult with clients to determine needs and advise on destinations, schedules and costs
• Support preferred suppliers and stay updated on rules and offerings
• Provide travelers with relevant information, guides, and local knowledge
• Resolve travel issues promptly with a sense of urgency and courtesy
• Maintain proficiency with Global Distribution System
• Participate in trade shows and promotional events to boost sales
• Assist team members and onboard new staff as needed
• Continuously update travel knowledge and industry developments
• Foster a collaborative work environment and uphold service standards
• Seek opportunities to improve efficiency and processes
• Handle additional duties as required by business needs
