Job Description
The Vacation Relief Machine Operator will plan, coordinate, and carry out the full production run on a specific machine. Maintains high-quality output and thoroughly cleans the machine after use.
Responsibilities
- Sanitizes and performs startup of the machine.
- Decides on the most productive and feasible production order.
- Effectively runs all products in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner.
- Frequently checks end products to ensure they meet standards.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work area. Cleans machine and work area after production.
- Ensures packaging integrity, including appropriate labeling and coding.
- Performs miscellaneous tasks and assists others as needed.
- Responsible for food safety and product quality, as outlined during GMP, HACCP, SQF, and Chemical/Sanitation training.
- Maintains production and quality records as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job:
- Must be able to grasp, push, reach, or stoop/kneel/crouch.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. and/or drag up to 200 lbs.
- Must be able to walk up a flight of stairs.
- Lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders to reach the top of machines and work with cleaning chemicals.
- Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
