Job Description

The Vacation Relief Machine Operator will plan, coordinate, and carry out the full production run on a specific machine. Maintains high-quality output and thoroughly cleans the machine after use.

Responsibilities

1. Sanitizes and performs startup of the machine.
2. Decides on the most productive and feasible production order.
3. Effectively runs all products in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner.
4. Frequently checks end products to ensure they meet standards.
5. Maintains a clean and sanitary work area. Cleans machine and work area after production.
6. Ensures packaging integrity, including appropriate labeling and coding.
7. Performs miscellaneous tasks and assists others as needed.
8. Responsible for food safety and product quality, as outlined during GMP, HACCP, SQF, and Chemical/Sanitation training.
9. Maintains production and quality records as assigned.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to grasp, push, reach, or stoop/kneel/crouch.
• Frequently required to stand and walk.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. and/or drag up to 200 lbs.
• Must be able to walk up a flight of stairs.
• Lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
• Must be able to climb ladders to reach the top of machines and work with cleaning chemicals.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
