Job summary

Deer Valley Resort, part of Alterra Mountain Company, seeks a Vacation Planner in Park City, Utah. You will present services, reserve lodging and lift tickets, and guide guests through available options. The role requires knowledge of Deer Valley, strong sales and guest-service experience, and flexibility for varied shifts, including holidays.

Qualifications

• Maintain a strong understanding of Deer Valley Resort, Park City, and the Utah ski industry.
• Prior reservations/sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience selling a luxury product preferred.
• Must be available for varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
• If working remotely, must have equipment and internet speed; company provides laptop and headset.

Responsibilities

• Present accurate, detailed information about the services provided and availability through lodging reservations.
• Sell and/or reserve services, mainly lodging and lift ticket products.
• Refer requests for other information to the proper source.
• Provide general information about Deer Valley and the surrounding area through phone, email, chat, and/or in person.
• Reservation and resort-oriented tasks, including data entry, quality control, and guest callbacks.
• Handle a high volume of phone calls daily.
• Handle guest resolution situations with the help of the supervisory team.
• Other duties as assigned.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Vacation Planner is responsible for accurately presenting detailed information about the services offered by Lodging Reservations and the availability of those services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Present accurate, detailed information about the services provided and availability through lodging reservations


• Sell and/or reserve services, mainly lodging and lift ticket products


• Refer requests for other information to the proper source


• Provide general information about Deer Valley and the surrounding area through phone, email, chat, and/or in person


• Reservation and resort-oriented tasks, including data entry, quality control, and guest callbacks


• Handle a high volume of phone calls daily


• Handle guest resolution situations with the help of the supervisory team


• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Maintain a strong understanding of Deer Valley Resort, Park City, and the Utah Ski Industry


• Previous direct experience preferred (preferably in the Park City/Deer Valley area)


• Prior reservations/sales or customer service experience preferred


• Experience selling a luxury product preferred


• Must be available for varied shifts and days of the week, including weekends and holidays


• Required to be in-office during training and initial work period, which is typically 4-8 weeks, but may be longer or shorter depending on performance


• If working remotely, must have adequate equipment and internet speed to support job requirements (company will provide laptop and headset)

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Flex Year Round – may have periods of layoff or reduced hours

PAY RATE:

• $20.00 per hour, plus incentive plan
