Middlesex Cricket invites a Director of Cricket to lead the long‑term cricket strategy across Men’s and Women’s teams, Player Pathway and elite facilities. You will shape the cricket agenda, align with financial and operational plans, and build a high‑performance environment with senior coaches and staff at Lord’s and across North London.
You will recruit, retain and manage contracts, oversee overseas players, and work closely with the Chief Executive, Board and ECB to deliver results on and off
Role: Director of Cricket
Location: Lord's Cricket Ground (plus outground operations in North London)
Salary: Negotiable, dependant on experience
Based at Lord’s, with training and playing centres across North London, Middlesex Cricket looks after the game across the 17 London boroughs that form the historic county of Middlesex. That covers the Men’s and Women’s professional teams, the Player Pathway and recreational cricket. The club is moving into the next phase of its development, and this appointment is central to its plans on and off the field.
The Director of Cricket reports to the Chief Executive, sits on the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for the strategy and performance of the whole cricket department. That means Men’s professional and Women’s tier 2 cricket, the Player Pathway, and the elite facilities the club uses for training and matches. You will set the cricket strategy, agree what success looks like, and support and develop a senior team: the Men’s and Women’s Head Coaches, the Head of Player Pathway and the Cricket Operations Manager.
Knowledge of ECB structures and the County Partnership Agreement, and experience across both Men’s and Women’s cricket, would also be helpful.
