Job summary

• Ability to travel to job sites and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vacuum trucks and equipment per policies and regulations.
• Perform vacuum excavation and industrial cleaning on tanks and pipelines.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and quality standards.
• Assist with job site setup/teardown and equipment maintenance.
• Document daily service logs and inspection reports on time.
• Communicate with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure safe, efficient work.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Support other field operations while promoting safety and teamwork.

The Vac Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating vacuum excavation equipment to support utility and infrastructure projects. This role performs excavation and industrial cleaning services while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and enjoys working outdoors in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate vacuum trucks and associated equipment in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Perform vacuum excavation and industrial cleaning services, including cleaning tanks, pipelines, and other equipment as required.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment are operating safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
• Assist with job site setup and teardown, including connecting hoses, preparing equipment, and maintaining an organized work area.
• Complete daily service logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to customer expectations.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in clean, serviceable condition and promptly report any maintenance or repair needs.
• Support other field operations as needed while promoting a culture of safety and teamwork.

Compensation

Salary Range: USD $22.00 to $27.00 per hour
