The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Northern California VA Health Care System, is seeking a Board-Certified/Eligible physician to provide primary care services within an outpatient clinic setting.

The incumbent will work in a team environment with other physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to coordinate care for enrolled veterans. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating acute and chronic conditions, conducting histories and physicals, and ensuring clear documentation

Qualifications

  • US citizenship and MD/DO from an approved school.
  • Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
  • Completed residency in a core specialty with board eligibility/certification.
  • English proficiency (spoken and written).
  • DEA license.
  • Pre-placement TB testing and immunization eval.

Responsabilités

  • Coordinate care for outpatient panel as assigned by NCHCS.
  • Evaluate and treat acute and chronic health problems in clinic.
  • Perform histories, physical exams, and document findings.
  • Provide education to patient and family and coordinate referrals.
