Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Reports observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notifies immediately if incidents or accidents occur.
• Drives safely, complies with traffic laws, and wears a seat belt during business travel.
• Provides or assists with activities of daily living: bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, transfers, and toileting assistance.
• Assists with household tasks essential to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months experience in home care preferred.

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

• Ability to work in any home situation regardless of patient background.

• Able to work independently.

• Good multi-tasking, time management, communication, and organizational skills.

• Dispositional qualities: harmonious, confidentiality, commitment to organization’s mission, adaptability.
