Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking physicians to perform VA C&P disability examinations in General Medicine. You will review veterans' medical records, conduct comprehensive examinations, and accurately complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).

No prescribing or ongoing patient care is required, and compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations is essential. Flexible scheduling options (Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN) are available.

Qualifications

Board Certified/Board Eligible General Medicine Physician (MD/DO).
Active, unrestricted MD or DO license.
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
Experience with disability evaluations preferred (occupational, family, internal or primary care).

Responsibilities

Perform VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability examinations.
Review Veterans' medical records and relevant documentation before each evaluation.
Conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations.
Accurately complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required reports.
Document findings clearly, objectively, and within established timelines.
Maintain compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
