Job summary

DirectShifts in the United States seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA General Medicine examinations, review veterans' medical histories, document findings, and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) per VA guidelines.

The role emphasizes independent practice within established protocols, accurate reporting, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
