Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations in Idaho. You will review veterans’ medical histories, perform comprehensive assessments, and accurately complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires under VA guidelines.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams, maintain meticulous documentation, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN) is available, with no on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

The provider will review Veterans' medical records, conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations, document objective findings, and complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) in accordance with VA guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license.
• Must have a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician, where required by state law.
