Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Washington to conduct VA Compensation & Pension General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs under VA guidelines.

You will review veterans' medical histories, perform comprehensive physicals, and prepare detailed medical reports, ensuring HIPAA and regulatory compliance. Flexible scheduling and equal opportunity employment are offered.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Must have a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license.
