DirectShifts in Kansas is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA C&P General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs under VA guidelines. You will review veterans' medical histories, conduct thorough assessments, and document objective findings.

This role offers flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN), no on-call, and compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations, with opportunity to collaborate with clinical and administrative teams.

Formación

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Experience or familiarity with VA guidelines and DBQs is a plus.

Position Summary:

The provider will review Veterans' medical records, conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations, document objective findings, and complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) in accordance with VA guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license.
• Must have a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician, where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to established clinical protocols.
