Job summary

Altrad Alpha Wind Services is seeking a travelling Wind Turbine Technician for the United States. The role covers maintenance, installation and commissioning on V90 3MW turbines at multiple sites with extensive travel and overtime as needed.

The technician will follow safety protocols, climb towers, diagnose issues, operate hydraulic and diagnostic tools, and document work in the customer system. Strong communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year wind industry experience, or six months wind experience plus a Wind Technician certificate.
• V90 3MW wind technician experience with LOTO and Pitch Suspension replacements is required.
• Demonstrated use of intermediate level power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record; able to travel extensively in the U.S.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics; strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Follow defined schedules and safety protocols for turbine service and installation.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of turbine components.
• Perform maintenance/installation tasks using hydraulic, torque, and diagnostic tools.
• Document work in SAP or customer systems and report issues to management.
• Mentor junior staff and promote teamwork, safety, and quality.
