Job summary

Capgemini Invent in Irving, TX seeks a digital engineering consultant to help clients transform their Engineering and R&D functions. You will work on PLM, MBSE, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin initiatives, translating engineering requirements into business outcomes and delivering value-driven recommendations.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, contribute to roadmaps, and support business development while staying current on industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in digital engineering, technology consulting or related transformation environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace, Computer Science) or related field.
• Experience supporting Engineering or R&D transformation initiatives in Manufacturing, Automotive, or Aerospace & Defense.
• Strong understanding of PLM, MBSE, MBSE and related digital engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of end-to-end PLM processes and related tooling.
• Strong analytical and collaborative communication skills; able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of digital engineering initiatives including PLM, MBE, MBSE, Digital Thread and Digital Twin.

• Translate technical engineering requirements into business outcomes and value-driven recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute engineering transformation programs and manage project workstreams.

• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
• Leverage data, analytics, and AI-enabled insights to improve engineering performance and decision making.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation.
• Travel up to 50% as needed.

This role is ideal for a consultant who combines engineering domain expertise with strong problem-solving and client-facing consulting skills. You will work closely with clients to assess current-state engineering processes, identify improvement opportunities, define future-state operating models, and support the implementation of transformative digital engineering solutions.

Your Role

• Support the design and delivery of digital engineering initiatives, including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Model-Based Engineering (MBE), Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Thread, and Digital Twin programs.
• Partner with clients to assess current-state capabilities, identify transformation opportunities, and define actionable roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Translate technical engineering requirements into business outcomes and value-driven recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully execute engineering transformation programs and manage project workstreams.
• Support business development activities, including proposal creation, pursuit support, capability presentations, and client discussions.Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.Leverage data, analytics, and AI-enabled insights to improve engineering performance and drive informed decision-making.
• Support the development of future-state operating models and digital transformation strategies for engineering organizations.Stay current on emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation for clients and within the practice.
• Travel up to approximately 50%, including onsite client support as required.

Your Skills + Experience

• 3-5+ years of experience in digital engineering, technology consulting, software delivery, or related transformation environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace, Computer Science), Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience supporting Engineering or R&D transformation initiatives within Manufacturing, Automotive, or Aerospace & Defense industries.
• Strong understanding of the business value and application of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Model-Based Engineering (MBE), and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Knowledge of end-to-end PLM processes and their role in engineering transformation.Experience with Model-Based Engineering, Model-Based Enterprise, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin concepts and implementations.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex business challenges using technology-enabled solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-facing consulting environment while owning and delivering project workstreams.
