Job summary

TP-Link Systems Inc. in Irvine, CA seeks designers to build intuitive interfaces for web and mobile products. You will translate user insights into actionable design requirements and collaborate with product managers and developers to deliver delightful experiences.

Ideal candidates have a design portfolio showing strategic thinking and leadership, a Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field, and 1–3 years of UX/UI experience. Knowledge of design systems and WCAG accessibility is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in product design or UX/UI design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, design leadership, and problem-solving abilities (include a viewable link with access instructions in your application).

Responsibilities

• User Research & Insights: Conduct in-depth user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
• User Research & Insights: Analyze user feedback and research findings to inform design decisions.
• User Research & Insights: Create personas, user journeys, and scenarios to guide the design process.
• User Research & Insights: Translate user insights into actionable design requirements.
• Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for digital products.
• Design & Prototyping: Develop intuitive navigation systems and information architecture.
• Design & Prototyping: Design responsive interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Design & Prototyping: Maintain consistent visual language across all digital touchpoints.
• Usability Testing & Validation: Participate in planning and conducting usability testing sessions to validate design solutions.
• Usability Testing & Validation: Analyze test results and iterate designs based on user feedback.
• Usability Testing & Validation: Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Usability Testing & Validation: Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and best practices.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Communicate design decisions and rationale effectively.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Help maintain design documentation, style guides, and pattern libraries.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Contribute to TP-Link's design system and component library.
