Job summary

Photon is seeking a designer who thinks in systems and obsesses over how people actually use things. You’ll own end-to-end experience design across web and mobile for both enterprise tools and a B2C marketplace, from wireframes to pixel-perfect handoff.

You’ll partner with Product and Engineering, run user research and usability tests, and build a scalable design system that supports complex workflows while delivering delightful, accessible experiences.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years designing digital products with strong UX fundamentals.
• Proficient in Figma for end-to-end design.
• Experience shipping enterprise products with complex workflows.
• Experience designing for B2C marketplace dynamics (search, discovery, conversion).
• Ability to build and maintain a design system and component library.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate design decisions clearly.
• Experience in agile product teams with design-led engineering.
• Knowledge of inclusive design and accessibility practices.
• Experience with analytics and A/B testing to validate decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the full design arc—from research to high-fidelity UI—in Figma.
• Partner daily with Product and Engineering to shape what gets built and why.
• Run and synthesize user research and usability testing.
• Build and evolve a component library and design system.
• Make tradeoffs between user needs, business goals, and technical reality and explain why.
