Job summary

Ajaia is seeking a UX/UI Designer to lead discovery and design on client engagements and Ajaia's product suite. You will interview users, synthesize findings, and create journeys, wireframes, and prototypes that engineers can build from. This is a hands-on role; you will do research and design yourself and uphold the design standard across projects.

This on-site role is based in New York, with client-site travel for discovery work. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading discovery and design on client engagements and product suites.
• Ability to synthesize interviews into journeys and wireframes.
• Experience designing AI-native workflows with human checkpoints.

Responsibilities

• Run discovery on client engagements via interviews and usability testing.
• Design user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes for engineers to build.
• Test designs with real users before code and enforce design standards across product suites.
• Prototype with AI tools and integrate AI-driven research into deliverables.
• Hand off design states for engineering and stay involved during build to prevent drift.
• Travel for discovery work and work on-site in New York.
