Job summary

Ajaia is seeking a Design Lead to run discovery and design on client engagements and on Ajaia's own product suite. You will talk to the people who actually do the work, observe processes, and translate findings into journeys, wireframes, and prototypes an engineer can build from.

You will test designs with real users before production, uphold design standards, and prototype with AI tools by default to save time and ensure quality.

Qualifications

• No minimum years required; we hire on the work.
• Experience designing AI-native workflows and where a human checkpoint belongs.
• Comfort with lightweight front-end implementation.
• Consulting, agency, or professional services experience with concurrent clients.

Responsibilities

• Run discovery on client engagements: interview the workers, observe work, identify gaps between what is said and done.
• Design user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes that engineers can build from without guessing.
• Prototype with AI tools as a default to accelerate delivery while preserving quality.
• Own the design standard across Ajaia's product suite to ensure consistency across engagements.
