Job summary

Union Home Mortgage Corp. is seeking a UI/UX Designer Intern to join the product team in Strongsville, OH. The role focuses on transforming business ideas and user needs into intuitive digital experiences through prototyping and user-centered design practices.

Interns will work closely with Product Owners, AI Software Engineers, and stakeholders to learn how design moves from concept to production, using tools like Figma and AI-assisted prototyping to deliver functional interfaces.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year college degree in UX Design or related field.
• Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma or similar platforms.
• Experience with AI-assisted design or prototyping tools is a plus but not required.
• Portfolio or projects demonstrating interest in user experience and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Owners, engineers, business partners, and users to understand problems, workflows, and user needs.
• Translate business processes and user needs into intuitive user flows and digital experiences.
• Create user flows, interaction models, screen designs, and interactive prototypes.
• Use AI-assisted prototyping tools to rapidly move from idea to interactive prototype.
• Create functional prototypes for stakeholders to evaluate potential solutions.
