Job summary

Gentherm Incorporated invites students to join its Summer Internship Program as a UX/UI Design Intern in Novi, Michigan. The program runs May 17, 2027 through August 6, 2027 and provides a cohort experience with 15 other students, including monthly executive learning sessions and company events.

Interns work on real projects aligned with department goals, applying classroom knowledge to practical settings and gaining hands-on experience in automotive UX design and interactive prototypes.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree, certificate or equivalent coursework in UX/UI design, interaction design, digital design, animation, front-end development or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of Figma or similar interface and prototyping tools.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Foundational experience with animation or motion-design tools such as Adobe After Effects.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of intuitive, visually engaging user interfaces for digital products across multiple product lines.
• Assist in translating technical product capabilities into clear, user-centered experiences.
• Create wireframes, user flows, mockups and interactive prototypes using Figma and other tools.
• Assist with implementing and refining interface components, interactions, animations and micro interactions in prototypes.
