Job summary

Charles River Analytics, now a GRVTY company, seeks an early to mid-level UX Scientist specialized in Human-Computer Interaction to lead research in Human-Systems Integration and Human-Autonomy Teaming. You will guide teams across research disciplines to develop user-centered interfaces and demonstrations for government programs and commercial applications.

You’ll define technical work, engage sponsors, and contribute to proposals and publications while coordinating with customers and partners

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Systems Engineering, Interaction Design, or related field.
• Experience leading R&D contracts or grants as PI/Technical Lead/PM; DoD experience preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze work environments and conceive, demonstrate, and evaluate user interfaces.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proposal writing and customer interaction experience; DoD pursuits preferred.
• Onsite at least 3 days per week (60% onsite / 40% remote) in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow teams of researchers, designers, and engineers to understand work domains and user-support requirements.
• Develop new Human-AI interaction concepts and evaluate interactive prototypes.
• Define and direct technical work; build relationships with customers, sponsors, and partners.
• Contribute to proposals, technical reports, and research publications.
• Present work at briefings and conferences.
