Job summary

Meta is recruiting a UX Researcher (Quantitative) to partner with product and business teams and lead end-to-end primary research. The role designs studies addressing both behavior and attitudes and manages research plans across a large stakeholder group.

The candidate will generate insights to fuel ideation and evaluate designs, with emphasis on responsible AI practices and cross-functional impact. This is a high-scope, strategic UX research leadership role.

Qualifications

• Experience coding with R, SQL or Python.
• Experience with survey design and response effects.
• Experience applying statistical analysis methods such as regressions, ANOVA, and t-tests.
• Interest in and experience executing hands-on, primary research.
• Bachelor's degree with 13+ years of relevant experience in UX, applied research and/or product research and development or a Master's degree and 11+ years relevant experience, or PhD and 8+ years relevant experience.

Job description

Our UX Research team is designing for the broad spectrum of human needs, which requires us to understand the behaviors of the people behind them. Our researchers tackle some of the most complex challenges to gain insights into how people interact with each other and the world around them, and work collaboratively to contribute new ideas to products that impact the experiences of billions of people on a global scale. We use a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to accomplish our goals, including surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and 1:1 interviews. We value a wide‑range of perspectives and stem from many different backgrounds.

UX Researcher, Quantitative Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience assessing impact of generative AI on users
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• 5+ years of experience leading other researchers in large‑scale collaborations
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
