Job summary

Custom Business Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced UX Researcher to drive data‑driven decisions across the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating cross‑functionally, and voicing user needs throughout development.

With 3+ years in UX research, you will plan and execute mixed-method studies, synthesize insights, and partner with product, design, and engineering to embed user perspectives into ongoing design processes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with UX Research.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Market Research or similar field.
  • Solid understanding of wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps. Experience with research, design, and AI tools. Strong grasp on Human Centered Design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
  • Portfolio demonstrating your expertise and ability to articulate your process.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative user research using a range of research techniques.
  • Analyze users' behavioral and attitudinal data to uncover pain points and unmet needs.
  • Conduct interviews, usability testing, surveys, ethnographic studies, contextual inquiry, and concept testing.
  • Synthesize and present research findings in context.
  • Leverage human-centered design to develop journeys, personas, and jobs to be done.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Development to integrate user feedback into the product lifecycle.
  • Scope research initiatives by coordinating with stakeholders and timelines.
  • Leverage existing data and tie insights to analytics.
  • Work in a SAFE Agile environment, coordinating projects by sprints.
  • Work independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure outputs meet internal expectations.

  • Ability to conduct a range of research methods including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, ethnographic studies, contextual inquiry, and concept testing
  • Synthesize and present research findings in context
  • Leverage human centered design principles to develop journey maps, user personas, and jobs to be done
  • Work closely with Product, Design, and Development teams to regularly integrate user feedback into the product design and development process
  • Ability to accurately scope research initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders
  • Leverage existing data and ability to tie insights to analytics
  • Work in a SAFE Agile environment, coordinating projects by sprints
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of cross-functional teams
  • Effectively manage vendor partner relationships ensuring that output meets internal expectations
Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of experience with UX Research.
